Beginner-Friendly Chords and Tips:

  • Beginners: Don't be put off by some of these chords. They are all very easy to play. The chord charts display both the Bm in the open position, as well as the Bm barre chord. All the other chords are in the open position making them all very easy to play, especially if you haven't learned to play barre chords.
  • D+ is an augmented chord, and can also be written as Daug - formula 1-3-#5 (D-F#-A#).
Instead of A6 you may like to try Bm/A.
  • Bm and Bm/A are exactly the same chord except Bm/A includes the 5th open string (A) in the chord, whereas Bm does'nt include the 5th string.
  • The chords with leading bass notes can all be played as straight chords, e.g.,
    A instead of A/C#,
    A instead of A/D,
    C instead of C/G, etc.
